About Bandit
Meet Bandit - our handsome, 500th rescue and the loving stumpy tail cattle dog cross who's ready for a new chapter in life. His journey from being a country puppy to adapting to city life has been nothing short of amazing, and now he's on the lookout for a forever family who will love him unconditionally!
Bandit's quickly become quite a city dog, mastering essential skills like toilet training, socializing with cats, and understanding that kids are great playmates. He has adapted well to apartment living and learned that couches make exceptionally comfy beds. He's also undergone successful crate training and even gotten used to using a grass patch on the balcony for his little pup duties.
Bandit absolutely loves romping with doggy pals and has excellent manners during play sessions. He doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety, but loves spending quality time with his family. He is quickly learning basic training and walks well on the lead.
However, Bandit still finds a few things rather overwhelming. Tiles puzzle him, lifts arouse curiosity, and stairs seem like a daunting mountain. But don't worry, he's in the middle of working all that out with the help of his trainers, and he’s an exceptionally quick learner!
Now six months old, Bandit is currently based in Eastgardens. He is microchipped, desexed, C7 vaccinated (including Leptospirosis), and completely up to date on all flea, tick, intestinal worm, and heartworm treatments. He is also lifetime registered with the council.
Bandit has experienced a bit of life's ups and downs, but he is amazingly resilient and remains gentle, trusting, and friendly. This playful boy would adore a family who can offer him the space, love, and patience he deserves while continuing his evolution into a superb city dog. He will repay you every day with his loyalty, vibrant spirit, and endless supply of love.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
