About Fern
Say hello to Fern! Full of energy, highly intelligent, and always active, Fern is a package overflowing with joy for life.
Fern is not just active, she's engaged with her surroundings and intensely interested in the world, making her the perfect companion for an active family. She'll love joining you on all your adventures and she would be her happiest in a family with older children.
This delightful girl would thrive in a home with plenty of space to roam freely - a large backyard or even a property with acreage would allow Fern to run and play and explore the world. The perfect family for Fern is one that's as active and engaged in living life as she is!

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
