About Hope
Hope is ready for Adoption!
Hope is a 7 month old, female tan and white American staffy.
Hope has some surgery history and medical history to discuss, but she was with us from 2 months old till when Her deduced nurse got her home, so she had a late start, but has come such a long way.
Notes from her carer:
She is great with kids
Great with cats
Great with smaller playful dogs
Walks well on lead
Has great recall
And is toilet trained but may have an accident over night if you miss her cues while asleep.
She is incredibly loyal and loving, very playful, her favourite games are fetch, tug of war and you just chasing her around with a toy in her mouth.
She loves her create and bed, she is half create trained, in that she loves to get in, rest and sleep and will happily be left for short periods of time. However she prefers the bed with you over night.
She just wants to be with you all the time and is in the routine of being able to come to work with me.
Her cons:
She can still be anxious and needs a gentle but firm leadership dedicated to continuing her puppy training, we have mastered, sit, wait, stay and drop.
But she can still be jumpy and puppy silly when excited and can be destructive when bored or left alone for too long.
She loves to chew like any staffy puppy, I’ll send her toys along with her so she has her familiar items.
She can still be quite scared of big, confident or corrective dogs and very loud or sudden noises.
She would suit a tradie that could take her to work and be with her most days or someone who works from home with access to the yard all the day.
It’s with a heavy heart as she’s been my biggest rescue yet, but I think it’s finally come a time she doesn’t need me anymore and needs to finally settle.
I’ve vaccinated her, she is desexed, microchipped and up to date on flea tick and worming and I encourage a meet and greet and a trial period.
I will be asking for a small adoption fee to cover my out of pocket costs with work and to ensure only serious adopters enquire!
She really would make someone’s world and best mate please contact me if you are interested.
Medical notes
Brought into our emergency clinic for Dog fight wounds. Had puncture repair surgery and and FHO surgery.
There will be no complications while young but will lost likely have arthritis in older age.
She also has a skin condition which is being treated and will need continued investigation and treatment.
Hope has a Histiocytoma on her front leg which was treated and resolved without surgery.
