About Fern
Hi there! I'm Fern, and I'm looking for a loving home where I can be the heart of a family. I'm a delightful and affectionate dog with a warm and gentle nature. If you love cuddles, I'm your girl! There's nothing I enjoy more than sitting on your knee and snuggling up while we watch TV together.
But that's not all! I love being involved in family activities and will happily join in on family nights. Whether it's playing games or just hanging out, I'm always ready to make every moment more enjoyable with my presence.
I'm great with other dogs, but I do prefer a calm and gentle friend rather than one who is too energetic and jumps all over me. A peaceful environment makes me feel safe and secure. I also love spending time with kids who are around 6 years and older. Their company is the best, and I enjoy engaging in their activities and providing them with all the love and companionship I can give.
Oh, and did I mention I LOVE toys? I absolutely adore them and will chase after them with so much enthusiasm. Fetch is one of my favorite games, whether it's with a squeaky toy, a ball, or a plush toy. My playful spirit will surely bring joy and laughter to your home.
So, if you're looking for a loving and loyal companion, I'm ready to bring joy, warmth, and endless cuddles to your family. I can't wait to meet you and become the perfect addition to your home. With love, Fern.
To book a meet and greet with Fern please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
