About Ivy - 63769
Ivy is a sweet senior staffy who came to gaws with no prior information other than the physical remnants of a life used for breeding. She has shown to be an affectionate lady who is calm and gentle, and walks well on lead. Ivy prefers human company rather than other dogs, which may be because she hasn't had a lot of positive social situations as a normal dog should. While she can remain neutral around other dogs when out and about, she doesn't seek their company and will need to be the only dog in her new home. Ivy may need to be shown in indoor/outdoor lifestyle and while she has no known history with kids, her gentle demeanour suggests she may suit a family with older children that are respectful of dog boundaries. Ivy has not been tested with cats. Ivy had surgery to remove two lumps recently. One was of no significance, however the second was a mast cell tumour. While the margins were good and it was removed successfully, it is to be noted that Ivy may be predisposed to further tumours in the future.
Medical notes
mast cell tumour removed.
