About Conan - 63845
Conan is a layered gentleman who is looking for a dog experienced owner. Having come to us due to his owner not being in a position to provide the exercise and stimulation he needed, Conan was beginning to become destructive due to the lack of stimulation this intelligent breed needs. He is currently prescribed fluoxetine for his anxiety, but we are hopeful that this can be weaned off down the track. Conan is housetrained and has lived with a female dog in the past. He may be suited to living with a well matched female dog in his new home. Conan has no history with cats, and is not recommended due to his breed having strong instinct to herd and chase. He has lived with teenagers and would be suitable for a home with children over 12. He would highly benefit from participation in group classes, leading to dog sports to keep him enriched and stimulated. His lead skills need refinement, and he has been working on this as well his reaction when he sees dogs on lead. This will need to be continued in his new home. This breed does not want to be a pet left at home; they want to be your partner in life and adventure buddy. Provided with proper mental and physical exercise, Conan will make a great pet for an active family familiar with dogs.
Medical notes
Conan is prescribed fluoxetine for generalised anxiety. We are hopeful this can be weaned off later down the track when he is settled into a home environment, but may be ongoing medication.
