Delilah’s foster mum is excited for her to find her forever home and wanted to say a few words about her!

Delilah is a sweet cinnamon roll and has been a joy to foster, from day one she’s acted like she belongs here. She is such a happy little lady who launches herself onto the couch as soon as you sit down so that she can get prime position right next to you. She isn’t bothered by the other cats and will hang out on the same couch with them but she will let them know if she feels they’ve gotten too close. She absolutely loves pats and is happy to be cuddled or sit in your lap and have a sleep. When she’s really happy you’ll get to hear her gentle trilling purr and sometimes if you’re too slow to get her wet food in the bowl she gives you a bit of extra encouragement with her meow.

While she spends most of the day sleeping or soaking up the warmth of the heated blanket, she occasionally decides she’d like to play, her toy of choice at the moment are the plastic cat springs scattered around the house.

Unfortunately Delilah was quite matted when she arrived and has had a major haircut to get her comfortable. Her new family will need to be committed to ongoing grooming to ensure she stays matt-free. She doesn’t mind being brushed but considering how squishy her face is and how long her coat is she would be happy to be clipped a few times a year to help her with this. Her face isn’t difficult to keep clean but she does need a daily wipe like most squishies, much to her disappointment.

At seven years old it’s no surprise that she needed a dental but all her teeth were able to stay put and she has had a scale and polish to keep them clean and shiny. Delilah has previously lived with friendly dogs and would do so again but would be perfectly happy having the humans all to herself too. She is always keen to greet any visitors but will need a home who is able to keep her safe inside or have a secure enclosure attached to the house.

Delilah is desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite

treatments. She is in care in Narre Warren South and available to forever homes in Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs.
