My name is Billy and I am a lovely affectionte boy who enjoys being
really close to you for some love. This means I would be best with
older children as I am a big boy and tend to lean in for cuddles against
you, and there is nothing better in the world than my head on your lap
and getting pats.
I do not need to be groomed, just a good wash will keep me happy. I do
love to be around other dogs and get on well with those I meet.
I am very well behaved inside and am a very good boy but when I get
outside, I love to run around and get some exercise and I love to play.
I am very clever and can use the doggie door to go outside and am toilet
trained. I also sleep in a crate when I rest and can be with another
fur buddy. I am very friendly though unsure about cats.
When I walk, I walk very well on the lead and seeing other dogs does not
worry me. I just walk on and enjoy the scenery. I can sit when asked
and drop which is pretty clever of me and even stay when asked. I am a
great learner, I must say. I just want a family to love me and I will
love you back and be the bestest boy though I do need a walk everyday,
so someone who is active would be wonderful.
I can be left at home in my crate but not tested for how long, I am sure
I would be okay and not get into mischief.
Oh yes and I suppose I have to tell you that I'm not good with livestock
as I like to chase. Other that that I am a great all round dog.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
