About Winston
Introducing Winston, a lovable six-year-old male Bassett Hound with a truly happy and outgoing nature. He's a strong, yet gentle soul who promises to bring plenty of joyful moments and lots of unconditional love to his new family.
Winston is a well-mannered companion who walks reasonably well on the lead, though it's worth noting his strength can be underestimated. He's a social butterfly with a friendly attitude, getting along really well with other dogs and cats. He has a way of endearing himself to everyone who meets him.
Extremely gentle at heart, Winston responds well to love and attention given by humans. His fondness for savouring treats can be used as a great opportunity to further his training with some basic commands. Not one to hide his emotions, he loves pats and shows his gratitude by nuzzling or leaning into you. His expressive eyes speak of a world of affection waiting to be showered onto his new family.
With his easy-going personality and loyalty, Winston is expected to fit in seamlessly with a loving family, especially one that has other pets at home or values community walks. This affectionate boy is eager to welcome the chance to show what a heart of gold he truly has.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
