Hello, I'm Whip, also known affectionately as Lizzie the Lizard! 🦎 I had quite a rough start in life but now I'm thriving in foster care and ready to find my forever home.
I was rescued with my sister after fending for ourselves on the streets since birth. We were wary of humans at first, but thanks to the care at Silver Lining Pet Rescue, I've learned that not all humans are scary. My journey hasn't been easy—I've overcome health challenges like a prolapsed anus, but with dedicated vet care and the love of my foster mum, I'm doing much better now.
I'm adjusting well to indoor life and enjoy the company of other cats and even dogs. I love playing games and lounging around the house. While I adore being petted and will happily sit next to you for affection, I’m not too fond of being picked up or held. I've been having some issues with another cat in the house of late, which has led to nightly conflicts. To keep me safe, I've been crated overnight, but I really miss freely exploring my home.
Despite my past, I'm making progress every day. While I'm still a bit shy around new people, I'm learning to trust and enjoy gentle affection. With patience and understanding, I know I'll continue to blossom. I am very food oriented if you want to bribe me 😉

Adoption details
Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
