About Duke
Meet Duke, the most well-behaved Rottweiler you will ever encounter! At 6 years and 5 months old, this stunning boy has a heart full of love and a gentle spirit that makes him an excellent fit for a home with kids aged 6 and older. Duke's impeccable manners are evident in everything he does. He walks beautifully on a lead, making every stroll a pleasure, whether it's a leisurely walk in the park or a brisk morning jog.
Duke has a passion for training and thrives on learning new tricks and commands. His intelligence and eagerness to please make training sessions enjoyable and rewarding. Beyond his love for training, Duke has a zest for exploration. Whether it's a hike through the woods or a trip to the beach, Duke's enthusiasm for adventure is infectious.
Duke's friendly disposition extends to his fellow canines. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be delighted to share his home with a calm and laid-back canine companion. His relaxed demeanor makes him an ideal match for a household with another chill dog, ensuring harmony and peaceful coexistence.
What Duke desires most is to be an integral part of all family activities. He dreams of a home where he can be included in every outing and celebration, from weekend picnics to cozy movie nights. Duke's loving nature and impeccable behavior make him a perfect addition to any family, ready to bring joy, companionship, and a lot of love to his forever home. With Duke by your side, every day is bound to be filled with happiness and cherished memories.
To book a meet and greet with Duke please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
