About Checkers
Checkers, the darling of our board game flock, is the darker brown of our two Isa Browns and is undoubtedly the sweetest of the two. Checkers arrived with her flock of six chickens, lovingly surrendered by an owner who, due to council restraints, could no longer keep them despite having cared for them for years.
Checkers is exceptionally easy to handle, making her a delightful companion for any chicken enthusiast. Her gentle and affectionate nature makes her a perfect candidate for rehoming, either as a single hen integrated slowly into a new flock or alongside one of her best friends or sisters. She can also be rehomed together with multiple sisters, ensuring she has familiar faces by her side. Due to her sweet disposition, Checkers would integrate well into most flocks, bringing harmony and warmth wherever she goes.
This charming hen loves indulging in dust baths, enjoying energy/worm blocks, and happily following her human companions around the backyard. Her endearing habit of trailing behind her humans adds a touch of companionship and joy to any home.
Checkers' amiable nature and adaptability make her an excellent addition to any flock, whether you're an experienced chicken keeper or new to the joys of raising hens. Her gentle presence and loving personality are sure to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your home.
If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing hen to join your flock or start your chicken-keeping journey, Checkers is the perfect choice. Adopt Checkers, and let this sweetheart of the board game flock bring love and joy to your backyard.
