About Archie
Archie - The Goodest Boy
Weighing in at 37.5 kilos
Meet Archie, a 6-year-old male Kelpie x Huntaway with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging.
Archie gets super excited when his humans come home, greeting them with boundless enthusiasm and affection.
He loves to play with his toys, especially chasing after a ball, and he's always up for a game. Archie is also a water lover and would make an awesome camping buddy. Just keep in mind that if you plan to do a lot of fishing, Archie might get bored and take a dip in the water himself!
Archie is house trained and would be perfectly happy inside with you, always ready for a new adventure. He loves exploring and enjoys playing with other dogs, though he's not a fan of cats.
He adores his food and could use a bit of training on the lead, as he tends to pull a little. However, with a bit of patience, he'll quickly learn. Archie is a very loyal dog and would thrive in a home with kids who are 6 years and older.
If you're looking for a loving, playful, and loyal companion, Archie is the dog for you!
To book a meet and greet with Archie please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
