About Leroy
Leroy is a larger cat but is looking for a quiet, small home, she would make the perfect apartment cat! She is a shy girl but has gained confidence over her time in foster care. Enthusiastic head butts are her game! She is also a big fan of cheek scritches. Her mews are quiet and nonchalant sounding like musings and nattering, which is hilarious.
Owing to her shyness and history, Leroy is most active overnight and goes exploring and silly between 10pm and 7am. At this time she may approach you anywhere in the house (as long as you're not standing up). In the day, she is confident in her cat room only, and will happily come out for pats.
Leroy enjoys looking alarmed, rolling about, chasing the laser pointer and “da bird” as well as her scratching post. We recommend providing her with a rug you don’t mind sacrificing for her use during playtime. She loves to drink water, her toileting is by the clock and she keeps an extremely tidy litter tray. She prefers dry food over wet food and creamy treats are the way to her heart.
It is a pleasure to foster Leroy. Her appreciation for safety and comfort is demonstrated by her loud and heart warming purr.
Her early life was spent in an abandoned factory (she was fed by some kind workers nearby).
Leroy has been in foster care for over a year and is known as a “slow burn” owing to her shyness but on recent cat sitting expeditions has proven to be adaptable and friendly when patience, slow blinks and treats are on offer. She is ready to find a permanent home where she can continue to gain confidence.
Leroy is cat friendly and would flourish with a non-dominant, confident and playful friend or as a solo cat. Leroy is fine to be left alone during work hours.
