Meet Coco Coconut, a spunky and vibrant 4-year-old Dachshund/Terrier cross. Weighing in at a sassy 6 kilos, she's petite and playful, with a chirpy attitude you can't resist!
Coco is a bundle of joy who loves the company of her human companions. She thrives in an environment where she can be herself, whether chasing her toys, taking a peaceful nap, or investigating new smells. She appreciates slow introductions to her fellow canines, so taking the time to get to know her is a must.
Coco has not yet been tested around cats, but her gentle demeanor gives us hope she would be tolerant. She's best suited for a home with older children, as she isn't keen on being picked up by small ones.
Consider Coco if you have a very secure yard for her to explore. Being a blend of two inherently curious breeds, she'll be eager to explore her surroundings, sniff out interesting scents, and maybe even do a bit of digging. If sheâs tired from her explorations, sheâll gladly spend the rest of the day curled up by your side.
Coco is desexed, microchipped, and current with her vaccinations and worming, making her ready to step into her next chapter with an affectionate, attentive partner in this great journey of life. Her adoption fee ensures she gets the best possible care and contributes to the rescue organization's vital work.
Located in Birkdale, Coco is ready to bring a playful, loving, and coconutty spirit to your family. Could you open your home to this little bundle of joy? If you can offer Coco the security, love, and kind handling she needs, you'll be rewarded with a loving, loyal companion who will bring endless joy to your home.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Hereâs some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
đ± Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the petâs bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
đŸ Details about your family
đĄ Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and youâve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
â
Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
â
We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
â
This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
â
Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
â
Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
â
The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
