About Holly
We'd like to introduce you to Miss Holly. Holly is a gentle old girl who is on the lookout for a home to retire in, with a comfy couch and humans who understand that Holly is more human than dog, with just a touch of seal (you can see her best seal face impression in her photos).
Nearing her big 'double-digit birthday', Holly dreams of having a whole part of new human friends as she's never met a stranger and absolutely LOVES snacks (who doesn't love cake!) She's also 100% open to a quiet celebration with her favourite people, in front of the TV, watching her favourite evening shows and soaking up all the physical affection a girl can accept.
Holly is pretty adaptable to a lot of environments but does appreciate having a secure outdoor space to relax in the sun and she enjoys the opportunity to meet the neighbours on walks.
Having spent almost a year of her life in a shelter before meeting her current family, Holly appreciates human company more often than not. Once she feels safe at home, she is happy to sleep on the couch while you go out but she needs to know you are coming home first and that she is your BEST GIRL before she can have confidence that you will always come back to her after your adventures.
Holly prefers polite dogs and is happy to stick to a couple of dog friends (or even better, humans because she doesn't really believe she is a dog), so when out and about she keeps to herself and ignores other dogs.
If you think Holly might be the part dog, part seal, mostly human canine friend you are looking for, please reach out to her current humans - they are heartbroken to have to say goodbye due to significant changes in their life and have pulled out all the stops to make sure Holly is safe, so would love to hear from you!
Medical notes
Holly occasionally experiences dry skin and does best on a chicken-free diet, as too much chicken can make her itchy.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for certain adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
