Rocky - 1 Year Old Staffy X

Rocky is a big goofball with lots of love to give. His nickname is "Scooby Doo" because of his goofy personality.

Rocky is a young energetic dog and is a real softy at heart. He will literally melt at the feet of his humans for pats, belly rubs and big bear cuddles. He might even do this mid-walk if he feels like a little break for some extra love. Rocky loves love so much that he will give you a big staffy smile when you tell him that he is a good boy.

While Rocky absolutely loves humans, he also loves his fur siblings and will happily wrestle and play for hours on end. He is happy being outside for extended periods of time while his humans are out or at work. Rocky has always had fur siblings so would be best suited to a home where he will have some 4-legged company during the day unless his humans will be home more often than not otherwise he will get lonely. Although he is mostly an outside dog, Rocky is used to being invited inside each night to spend some quality time with his humans and fur siblings and he would love to continue being able to do this. He is fully house trained and understands that there are boundaries when he is inside so he won't jump on a couch without permission.

Rocky is a goofy ball of energy and excitement so would best suit a family with bigger kids or teenagers as he can forget how strong he is at times. Although he is less than 20kg he is very strong given his breed. Rocky is a quick learner and has been doing weekly training with a local dog trainer for the past few months to help with his leash and walking etiquette. Rocky knows some basic commands but would benefit from continued training given he is still young. He is very food orientated and responds well to consistent training.

Given that Rocky can be very excitable and forget how strong he is, he is not suited to a home with cats or pocket pets. He may be suited to a home with small dogs provided he is given appropriate guidance on how to behave and play gently with his fur siblings.

Rocky is in care in Warner's Bay, NSW, and is available for interstate adoption. His adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
