On Hold
About Duke - 1 Year Old Cavoodle (Hold)
Duke is a real sweetheart, gentle in nature, shy and quiet. He is yet to come out of his shell but in time and with the right humans and environment he will, you just have to give him a chance.
He loves his foster fur siblings very much but is not a rumble tumble player YET. Duke needs a fur friend living with him at home which will help him grow more confident.
He just likes to chillax, watch the household go by doing their thing and is more than happy to take a spot on the lounge and be patted.
Duke is toilet trained and sleeps in a crate all night long.
He is not a big eater and likes to eat away from everyone, separated, in peace, taking his time, enjoying all the new flavours he has never had before.
He has not been on walks yet and is getting use to the front yard, he is quite happy to chill there too and watch his new world go by.
He has had a sheltered life thus far which is why he is a bit timid, but he is learning to be brave, to trust humans and discover a new world. Duke is smart and teachable and has lots to learn, so he is looking for someone who will make time for him.
Duke needs TIME to learn, grow, adjust, experiment, and explore slowly, carefully, and safely in his time. Please give him 3 -6 months to settle into his new home properly which must be a perfect fit for his needs.
Duke has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing and grooming to keep him comfortable and clean, so please allow this in your budget.
NOTE: Duke weighs 9kg and is slim, he can fit through small gaps. His new yard needs to be tidy, finished, fully secure yard with no gaps, palings missing, no pool fencing anywhere, debris or dangers in the yard or under the house. Verandas must be closed in and safe.
Duke in brief:
9kg slim
Needs a fur friend in the home full time
Needs a quiet home
Need a family fully committed to training him
Toilet trained
Needs a finished and secure yard.
Duke is in foster care in Cameron Park, NSW, and is not available for interstate adoption. His adoption fee is $1000, and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped, and has been treated for fleas and worms.
