About Frankie
Allow us to introduce you to Franki, our delightful 10 month old canine companion. Franki is an exquisitely beautiful and friendly pup, a unique-looking kelpie cross girl with a lively spirit and a loving heart. Her zest for life is evident in her playful nature and her love for running and cuddling. Franki is always thrilled to see her human friends and cherishes every moment spent with them. Her training journey has just begun, and she is already showing great promise. Her recall is quite impressive, and she will eagerly âsitâ when there are treats involved.
She is a Bull Arab x Kelpie at 20 kilos so a med size girl
### Frankiâs Favorite Activities
Franki has a few toys she enjoys, but her primary interest lies in exploring and sniffing around. She loves going for walks and taking in the myriad scents of the outdoors. Hanging out with her humans is another favorite pastime. Whether you are sitting outside or busy with chores, Franki is content to stay nearby, doing her own thing while keeping you company. Franki can be a bit jumpy, so some training is required to keep all four paws on the ground.
### Human Interaction
Franki is a true lover of human companionship. She gets excited whenever we have visitors and will seek out the person most willing to give her pats, settling right next to them. Whether you are sitting outside or busy with chores, Franki is content to stay nearby, doing her own thing while keeping you company. Franki can be a bit jumpy, so some training is required to keep all four paws on the ground.
### Interaction with Other Dogs
Frankiâs favorite pastime is running with her canine friends at the local dog park. This has become a regular activity for her, and she has made numerous friends along the way. Despite the occasional provocation,. She enjoys darting from one dog to another to see what they are up to and loves being chased. Franki is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. She loves to engage in playful pouncing and enjoys both chasing and being chased. Her curiosity often leads her to move from one dog to another, especially at the park, making her a well-loved member of the canine community. Walking past dogs, she does show some interest and can pull slightly on the lead.
We were told by the pound she came from a home with cats
### Obedience
Frankiâs obedience is a work in progress. She is generally good at coming when called, although she can be easily distracted, especially when she is focused on another dog. With some additional training, she could improve in this area. Franki is highly responsive to treats and usually complies with commands when a reward is involved. She has shown a quick learning ability. When left alone, she may whine a bit, but it is never loud or disruptive, and she settles well.
### Independence
Franki spends a significant portion of her day in the sunroom and backyard, where she enjoys exploring and finding toys to play with. She would happily stay in the sunroom all day if allowed. Franki is always delighted to have company and will find ways to entertain herself nearby if you are relaxing in the sun. She does not bark when left alone, making her a quiet and considerate companion.
### Exercise Needs
Franki requires daily exercise to keep her physically fit and mentally stimulated. She enjoys spending about an hour at the local dog park, where she gets plenty of social interaction. Additionally, she benefits from a good 30-minute walk around the neighborhood every other day. Franki can pull a little on the lead. We have not seen her reactive around moving objects like most Kelpies, so she is a little nervous around heavy traffic noise.
### Behavior Inside the Home
Franki has proven to be well-behaved indoors. She has been allowed to sleep in the lounge room on a blanket placed on the couch, and she recognizes this as her designated spot. Even with access to the kitchen, she does nothing more than sniff the floor, showing remarkable restraint.
### Hygiene and Toileting
Franki is fully toilet trained. She has a short, easy-to-care-for coat that requires minimal grooming. She sleeps in the sunroom, where she has access to the outdoors and will take herself outside to relieve herself via the doggy door.
### Car Travel
Franki is an excellent traveler in the car. She rides securely in the back, enjoying the view from the window. However, she is still a bit timid with the door closing and can occasionally tangle herself in her lead.
### Diet
Franki is fed dry food twice a day, with a bit of prime added to her evening meal. She has a hearty appetite and will eat everything provided, so itâs important not to leave extra food out for her to graze on.
### Sleeping Arrangements
Franki sleeps on the âdog couchâ in the sunroom or on a blanket on the couch inside. Some training might be needed if she is to transition to sleeping in a basket.

### Ideal Home
Franki is looking for a home where she can get plenty of exercise and share her affectionate nature. She would thrive with a daily walk and regular human interaction throughout the day or evening. If you already have a dog, Franki would be thrilled to have a male playmate. She might be a bit too energetic for very young children, so a home with older kids or adults would be ideal. A moderate to large backyard with secure fencing would provide the perfect environment for Franki to explore and play safely. A family committed to ongoing training and a home that will include Franki in their daily routine would be ideal.
