Have you met Ted? This gorgeous almost 8-month-old boy finds himself looking for a new home due to absolutely no fault of his own, a child in Ted’s home is petrified of him and after months of trying to integrate them and reassure the child, Ted’s family have made the heartbreaking decision that it is best for everyone to find Ted another home.
Ted is a big boof head who LOVES people, whether it is cuddling up and jumping into your lap, or playing a game of fetch, this boy thinks humans are the bee’s knees and enjoys meeting everyone he comes across. Ted is a friendly, affectionate fellow who at times will jump up and mouth when overstimulated, he is easily directed, but is still a big pup and will need reminding of his manners. Ted has lived with children as young as 3 and is generally great with them, Ted would be fine living in a home with dog-savvy children over the age of 5.
Ted is a clever boy that loves to learn, he knows his basic commands and a couple of extra tricks too. Ted still pulls on lead when he first starts his walk, however after the excitement has calmed down, he is a polite boy that is happy walking past anyone and everything. Ted will need an owner who is dedicated to his ongoing training, Ted is entering his teenage phase and will test the boundaries like all young German Shepherds do, he is looking for someone with plenty of time and effort to give him and would thrive attending obedience classes to fine-tune and practice his skills and socialization.
Ted enjoys playing with other dogs, he has never lived with another dog, but enjoys meeting friends out and about. Ted likes to play hard; he sometimes needs reminding to be gentle and to have a break (basically he is a typical teenage dog). Ted may be ok living with another dog in his new home, he would be fine as the one and only centre of attention.
Ted has had limited exposure to cats and other small pets.
Ted is an active boy that is going to require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation as he grows, Ted will make his own mischief if left alone without something to keep him amused. Ted would love to be provided with enrichment toys and puzzles to help him keep his quick young mind working.
Ted has recently been living mostly outside, he adores time when he does get to come in and settles nicely on his bed, Ted would love to be invited to snuggle up on the couch and spend more quality time with his people, he is a people dog that just wants to be wherever you are, following you around hoping that it might be playtime once again!

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
