Adorable boy!
- Dusty is an intelligent, affectionate, soft and loving boy. He loves lying on his back in your arms while you scratch under his chin for him. He has a beautiful happy purr when he’s near you.
- Dusty will quite happily play on his own (his tail is a never ending source of amusement) but he loves other cats too. He will follow the older cats in his foster home around until one will finally play with him.
- A cardboard box will keep him entertained for hours. He loves chasing balls and hiding under blankets.
- Dusty is a bundle of fun with lots of energy but when he’s tired he can sleep for hours, curled up somewhere high and warm.
- Dusty is very comfortable around his medium sized foster dog but is untested with young children. He is toilet trained also.
- Dusty’s new home must have another cat he can bond and play with. He will not be suitable as an only pet.
Please note: Dusty has received his 2 kitten vaccinations and microchip. A condition of his adoption is that he is sterilised at the age of 6 months at an approved vet clinic in either Busselton, Bunbury or Vasse. This is covered in the adoption fee.
If you would like to meet Dusty, please complete the application form at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=zm1493&method=online_form_html&formid=9
The adoption fee includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
