Rumour has it that Rumi is amazing!

What a pretty lady she is! She has found herself in the shelter through no fault of her own and is keen to find her forever home!

This stunner of a lady has quickly become a staff favourite here, and we will tell you why.

- Every morning Rumi sits and waits patiently for her breaskfast, as soon as a staff member enters her pen they are met with the most ADORABLE little bum and tail wag.

- Rumi ADORES attention and will sometimes not take 'no' for an answer, she does a cute little hop to get your attention and some loving.

- She is such a smarty-pants. Pointers are very smart doggo's and Rumi is no exception. She can sit on command and with hand singals and would just love the opportunity to grow her skills in the home.

Rumi is best suited for a family with secondary school-aged children and above, and with the right meet and greet with a well-suited dog she may be suitable to live with another dog. Rumi would do well with a larger, confident yet respectful dog that is willing to help her exert some of that working dog energy. Unfortunately we have no tested Rumi with cats or pocket-pets so would recommend that she is no sharing a home with these types of fury friends until she really gets a chance to settle in to the home.

While our little lady is cheeky, sassy and attention-seeking, she will need help with her confidence when it comes to meeting new doggo friends and being introduced to unfamiliar environments. Force-free training is a must and will help with her manners as she can be a little jumpy when meeting new people.

To help Rumi blossom in to the bestest girl, we would like Rumi to go to an active household. Now, this might mean a family that gets out and walks/runs daily, a family that is outdoorsy and goes camping or on hikes regularly, or, just a home where she will be able to be involved in every daily activity. Mental stimulation within the house like kongs, scent training and puzzle feeders are just as good for a dogs' brain as walking is.
