About Marci
Meet Miss Marci,
despite her troubled past, this young lady is more than willing to love & be loved.
Marci & her sister Darci were rescued due to a compassionate member of the public reporting them as a cruelty case to our awesome inspectorate team. These 2 sisters were then surrendered to the RSPCA & were finally safe. We can only imagine what they've been through in their young lives with scars & wounds all over their little bodies. They were also appallingly emaciated, they are starting to put on weight & their fur is beginning to grow back.
They now have a journey of recovery & healing from trauma ahead of them, but as we get to know them here at the shelter, it is clear that they have beautiful natures & sweet, playful personalities.
They are both lacking in confidence, understandably, & will need kind, patient & understanding new guardians who are willing to give them the time & space they need to decompress & enjoy the new-found feeling of being safe & experiencing love.
They will need a gentle approach to training & will have to go back to basics for toilet training, as if they were puppies.
We get them out for walks every day on a harness & lead & they absolutely love their Sniffari walks where they get to explore their surroundings & soak up all those fascinating smells!
They also both really enjoy playing with toys, we feel that this is a new experience for them as the opportunity to play was previously denied :(
These 2 girls are both dog friendly & have the potential to make awesome members of the family & wonderful companions. Humans let these girls down, but we can prove to them that the best is yet to come & it is their time to shine :)
