Rosie

Meet our darling Rosie, who has firmly become a shelter favourite due to her shy and sensitive nature.

Rosie has had a bit of a rough start to life and is lacking a lot of confidence so she'll need a patient and understanding new home with owners really willing to take it slow with her whilst she finds her feet in the world outside the shelter.

She'll need a quiet, adults only household where she'll be given her space to approach in her own time. Rosie is quite worried by men especially so a female based household would be ideal or if men are in the household just very understanding that it will take her a lot longer to warm up.

Rosie is however very confident with other dogs and loves a buddy to walk with, infact it's the only way we can get her out for walks. She seeks a lot of comfort from another dog so would potentially be suitable to go home with a friend, she's great walking on lead with them however, is VERY playful off lead with them so needs to be a like minded and tolerant friend! If you don't have another dog, that's totally fine too. She can find walks a bit scary at first so will need to go to a household with a big backyard with high/secure fencing to run around at first til she's feeling ready for walks.

Rosie has come on leaps and bounds whilst here in the shelter with familar staff/ volunteers but it will take her a while to settle in the new home and we have no doubt that she will only continue to thrive once out of this environment.
