About Eddie - 5 Month Old German Shepherd (Trial)
Eddie is a handsome 5 month old German Shepherd, who has overcome his rough start in life in just a few weeks of care in his foster home in the Hunter Valley.
Eddie has found his energy and curiosity, loves his food, exploring, playing with his toys and water. If it's a puddle, a dam or coming out of a hose, he loves it!
Eddie is toilet trained, crate trained and knows how to "watch", "sit", "come" and "bed". He is used to waiting patiently while other animals are being fed, is super intelligent, loyal to a fault and enjoys any form of attention from his carer. He does not jump up, is wary of strangers and is now looking for a job as sniffer, guard dog, dog sport competitor or constant companion.
He has gotten on well with other dogs after slow introductions, as his initial assumption is to be wary of all new things, which is typical for his breed.
Eddie has shown a couple of quirky traits, like chasing a broom or any little wheels that turn, which is why Eddie will require a person or couple who knows how to train an intelligent working breed and preferably no small children who would get barked at, knocked over or playfully chased or nipped.
Eddie would not do well left alone in a suburban backyard, as his enthusiasm and brains need an outlet and ongoing training to let him grow to his full potential. Eddie is currently living on a rural property with livestock and another dog.
Eddie's adoption fee is $500. He is in foster care in Hunter Valley, NSW. He has been treated for fleas and worms, is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
