Meet Aussie, a delightful 10-year-old Australian Terrier cross with a sparkle in his eyes and plenty of love to give. Weighing in at 6 kilos, this compact bundle of joy is just the right size to fit comfortably in your favourite armchair with you.
Aussie is known for his charm and sociability. He's dog friendly and enjoys the company of kids older than 5 years. His outgoing nature makes him a hit in the community, and he eagerly welcomes friendly interactions. He hasn't been tested with cats, but his easy-going nature suggests he could get along with a patient and slow-introducing feline companion.
Energetic and curious, Aussie loves to explore and adores outdoor walks. Despite his age, he's still got a spring in his step and loves to keep his mind and body active. Safe and secure fencing is recommended to keep his adventurous spirit safely in check when you're not around.
Aussie finds pleasure in the simple things like a cozy bed, a good meal, and loving companionship. He's house-trained and enjoys good health, with all his vet work, including vaccinations, desexing, and worming, up to date. They say that age is just a number, and with his sparkling personality, Aussie is here to prove just that!
If you're looking for a loyal, lovable, and laid-back companion, Aussie just might be the friend for you. Located in Birkdale, this small but spirited pooch is ready to put his pawprints straight into the heart of his new family. Come and meet Aussie and let yourself be charmed! Remember, the best things in life come in small packages, and Aussie is definitely one of them!

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
