About Sheila
Meet Sheila:
7 year old Mastiff x Rottweiler.
A Brave & Resilient Survivor in Need of a Loving Home
Sheila’s heartbreaking journey has been filled with layers of trauma. Abandoned on a highway & left to roam rural properties alone for weeks, she faced the cold with no access to food or water. Rescued by a ranger & brought to the pound, she was at risk of being put to sleep due to overcrowding. Brave Companion Dog Rescue stepped in just in time to save her.Despite receiving some care at the pound, Sheila arrived at our rescue in terrible condition, reflecting the severe neglect she had endured. Believed to have been used for breeding for many years, she was likely discarded when no longer deemed useful.
Sheila has the sweetest personality imaginable. Despite all she has been through, she is full of love and just wants to share it. Her gentle and loving spirit makes her an ideal companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend.
We are seeking a home for Sheila where she will be cherished and cared for. She needs to gain some weight and will thrive with someone who can provide the necessary care and attention she deserves. Sheila’s ideal home would be with someone who understands her past traumas and is committed to giving her a second chance at life.
Sheila has been dog-selective, so if you have another dog, a meet and greet is essential. She is desexed, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped, ready to start her new chapter with a loving family.
If you are ready to open your heart and home to a deserving dog, Sheila is waiting to meet you.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the BCDR Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
*Same gender adoptions will not be considered. Same sex aggression is something at BCDR we will avoid. *
Supporting documents required ;
Real estate approval or home own proof .
