About Ari
Ari is a 7 year old female Shetland sheep dog. This tiny little fluff ball is loads of fun and loves treats!
Ari is a perfectly mannered girl on the lead. She walks like a dream, sits, stays aims to please, and will do anything for a treat. She loves our daily adventures on lead, and playing in the yard.
Ari is great with other dogs in foster care having met small and medium dogs.
Ari is in foster care on a farm where she is thriving. She loves to chase bunnies and use her nose. She lived her previous life all in suburbia and in a yard, so may adjust back to this with dedicated owners and a decent space for her.
Off lead, Ari has spent her whole life knowing she can get away with not coming, and had some painful matted fur on her neck which had an aversion to being ‘caught’. She will eventually come back when she is done sniffing and doing her thing, but she couldn’t be trusted in suburbia off lead at this point. In foster care the time it takes her to come back has greatly reduced, but she still does it only on her terms.
Ari has had her matted fur all tidied up, and her front teeth removed since coming into care. This doesn’t affect her eating, she just always looks like she’s smiling!
This entertaining and sweet little girl is a delight, but she will take some time to warm up and show you this side, presenting initially as quite independent. Treats and training will win her over!
If you have the skills and experience to provide Ari with her final home for life, then please fill in an application form today!
Ari is located in VIC.
