About Daisy 🌼Shih Tzu x Maltese (On Trial 12/7/24)
Daisy is a sweet and friendly, 3yo, Shih Tzu x Maltese🌺. She is a happy, little girl who likes people and gets along well with other dogs. She can live with others dogs or she will be just as happy as an only dog. She is a low-shedding breed so she’s good for people with allergies.
Daisy is very much an inside girl and needs to be welcome inside, on your furniture, and to sleep inside. She is housetrained. She hasn’t had any other sort of training yet, but she is young and smart so she is ready to learn.
Daisy hadn’t been for walks before coming into foster care but now she enjoys going out to sniff and explore the neighbourhood. She walks beautifully on a harness and lead.
She is an affectionate little girl who likes to follow you around and sit with you. She can be a bit timid in a new place or with new people but she is very curious so she quickly adjusts. She will let you know when people are walking past but she’s not a nuisance barker. Her birthday is 12 March 2021.
She is ok left at home alone inside for a several hours at a time but not all day. So, we're looking for a home where there is someone who doesn’t work full-time.
Daisy has a very pretty, black-and-white coat like a panda. Since she doesn’t shed, she will need professional clipping approximately every 4 to 8 weeks and regular bathing. You should be prepared for this expense if you want a low shedding dog. If you keep her coat long she will need daily combing to prevent tangles.
Daisy is good with children but she isn't suitable to a busy household with young children. Any kids that live in her forever home should be at least 12 years old, but young visitors would be fine. She hasn’t been tested with cats but if you have a cat I can test Daisy with a local cat to see how she reacts.
She came from a backyard breeder who had too many dogs and needed to get rid of a few. Her coat was overgrown and matted. But Daisy has really blossomed in foster carer and loves her new life.
✅ Daisy would like a home where there is someone who:
* wants a gentle, affectionate companion
* will take her for a walk each day
* doesn’t work full time
* doesn’t have children under 12.
* Other dogs are fine.
Daisy is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐She is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT.
Her adoption fee is $700 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas & worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
