About Billy - 11 Month Old Cattle Dog X (Trial)
Introducing Billy!
An intelligent and gentle 11 month year old Australian Cattle Dog cross, looking for his forever home. This sweet, affectionate boy has a lot of love to give and is always ready for an adventure or snuggle on the couch.
He has a heart of gold and forms strong bonds with his human companions. His energy and enthusiasm make him a fantastic dog for active families or individuals who enjoy outdoor activities not to mention going to the dog park and making new friends. Billy can be shy to begin with but it doesn’t take him long to come out of his shell.
Billy loves to play fetch or go for walks to stay happy and healthy. He picks up commands quickly and enjoys learning new tricks and tasks.
Billy is house-trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and is working on heel. He responds well to positive reinforcement and enjoys mentally stimulating activities like puzzle toys and enrichment toys. He has fantastic house manners and also crate trained.
He would thrive in a home with a large, secure yard where he can run and play. Billy would do best with a doggy friend of similar age who like to play, however this is not essential.
While Billy has been in care, his foster mum works from home. We believe he’d be okay with part-time workers as long as he is getting the mental stimulation and/or has a doggy friend.
