Meet the super sweet and friendly Alexia!

At just over 1 year old Alexia has come into our care by no fault of her own, and this gorgeous girl is on the hunt for her forever home!

Alexia was quite scared and shut-down when she first came into our care, but has been spending some time with one of our amazing foster carers to help build her confidence and skills.

Her foster carer mentioned Alexia is a fast learner and has already mastered 'sit' and 'down'! However, Alexia would greatly benefit from some more force-free positive reinforcement training to help her master all her skills!

Because Alexia has a mild conflict with receiving pats and cuddles at the moment, we have specified that everyone in the home must be at least secondary school aged and older. Additionaly, Alexia may be suitable to live with another dog pending a successful meet and greet.

As Alexia has shown signs of stress when she is left alone, it is important that there is someone home more often than not. In addition, her new family will need to be willing to dedicate their time, energy and resources to her independence training. This will help her understand that being left alone can be fun and exciting, and this will greatly benefit her well-being in the long term.
