Meet Max!

This sweet boy was surrendered to the shelter after his owner could no longer care for him and he is finding it very stressful - he is looking for the superhuman that is going to rescue him.

We won't lie, Max has been a tough one. He was shy and reserved at the start of his stay, preferring to avoid interacting with people but as time has gone on, he has warmed up wonderfully and absolutely loves when his handlers pay him attention. He wags his fluffy tail and follows the staff around.

Max approaches life with caution, we are not sure what he has been through but we do know where he can go. With your help, a home that is quiet and calm it will help build his confidence and let his true personality blossom.

You may be surprised to read that Max seems to gain confidence in leaps and bounds when another dog is around. We think that a confident and respectful dog friend would be a great thing for him. He seems to relax in the presence of another canine friend, so if you have a dog that may help bring joy to Max's life then please bring them in to meet him.

Being a husky, Max has lots and lots of energy hiding under his calm and shy exterior. Lots of treats, toys and daily exercise will help him to really come out of his shell and stay enriched.

Max hopes he can go into his forever home soon and we hope that someone will take the time to welcome this wonderful boy (plus all the excess hair) in to their hearts.
