Meet Louie!

Louie may be considered a senior fella but don't let that fool you, he has a young soul. At 10 years old Louie has found himself without a home, something no senior doggo should have to experience. Louie needs a warm, cozy home with a loving family to spend his retirement years with.

Louie is a special man, he is sweet and sensitive and adores human companionship. The staff here at the home have this to say about Louie.

"Louie is such a sweetheart, he wags his tail and waits to patiently for pats when he sees you!"

"He may take a couple of minutes to really warm up, but once he does, he gets very excited in his old man way and loves any attention given to him."

Louie is a typical Border Collie - he is super smart, can sit on cue and with hand signals and loves to get out for a stroll. While he may not want to run for hours anymore, exercise is still a crucial part of his daily enrichment to ensure his mind and body stay active. He would need a home that is not only committed to continuing his exercise regime, but also one that will alter it as he ages.

As you can imagine, Louie has live 10 years liking what he likes and that's it. He lives his space away from other animals so would prefer to be the only dog in the household. This is not just because other dogs worry him a little, but also because he wants you all to himself!

Just like with other dogs, Louie doesn't want any little kiddies in the home, he's a senior boy that likes his peace and quiet so for this reason we recommend everyone in the home be over the age of 16.
