About Otto
Otto is a calm and affectionate pup who is navigating the ins and outs of the world with curiosity and charm. This gentle soul thrives on companionship and finds his greatest joy in being by your side, whether that's snuggled next to you or quietly nestled under your desk during work hours.
While still mastering the ropes of crate training and toilet habits, Otto is making strides every day. Occasionally, he might have a mishap, but he's eager to learn and please. His burgeoning independence is evident as he explores the garden, delighting in digging and lounging in the bushes, discovering new wonders at every turn.
Although Otto can be a tad shy or overwhelmed on walks as he acquaints himself with the great outdoors, his curiosity about the world around him is boundless. He's keen to make new furry friends during strolls and revels in playful interactions, especially when he gets the chance to rough and tumble with his beloved puppy cousin.
Otto's journey is just beginning, and he's seeking a patient and loving family who will continue to nurture his confidence and guide him through new experiences. With a kind hand and a gentle heart, Otto promises to be a loyal and devoted companion, ready to share a lifetime of love and adventure with his forever family.
MY IDEAL HOME: I like to be around my family so someone who is home more often than not would be ideal. Since I’m still a puppy, I need someone who can teach me how to walk on the lead, and who can help me socialise with lots of positive reinforcement. I will grow to be a large sized boy so some experience with large dogs would be ideal.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am still a baby, so I alternate play and short walks with lots of nap time. I get pretty excited when a doggy friend comes to play, and can rough and tumble with the best of them, but I am overall pretty calm and happy just to be by your side. As I grow I will need more structured daily adventures to keep me fit and happy.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I love to get lots of pats and to play ball, and am also very gentle by nature, so would suit a home with children.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have met a few dogs and am pretty curious, but I'm still learning how to be polite when I say hello. I think I would enjoy having a doggy sibling to play with, and while I haven’t met any cats yet I think we could get along.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
