About Mr. Fox
Meet Mr.Fox.
Our relationships with dogs should be based on trust. Every.single.time.
Mr.Fox was in a situation where the people who should have been caring for him turned out to be scary, unpredictable & violent.
With this in mind, we are looking for a very special home for our very special Mr. Fox. He needs a patient, kind & understanding home where he can build that trust up. He needs someone who understands canine anxiety & can clearly read dog body language. Mr.Fox often thinks he is in trouble for no apparent reason. This is from his past & having a history of being punished. Punishment is not the way to bond, train & have an awesome relationship with your dog.
Mr. Fox is very smart, but simple things, like quick movements or getting into a car, worry him & he can feel panicky. Therefore, he needs slow positive exposure to new & novel things & he needs to be able to create positive associations with situations that may frighten him. Positive reinforcement training, counter-conditioning & desensitisation can all play a part here.
Mr.Fox has made some dog friends at the shelter & again, he needs slow introductions to new canine buddies. He enjoys walking in his harness & loves his daily outings & sniffari walks.
Daily mental & physical stimulation & enrichment are vital to Mr.Fox's wellbeing & a key part to having a happy & healthy best mate.
Mr. Fox needs to be allowed to live indoors with his new family, he deserves to feel safe & loved. It Mr. Fox's time to shine!
