About Jack
Our sweet senior boy Jack is ready to look for his retirement home.
Jack is 12 years and 1 month young and is still a spritely fellow that loves a walk and a bit of a play.
Jack does have aged related arthritis and his teeth are a bit worn for all in all he is pretty good for his age.
We have started Jack on Anitonl Capsules to help with his arthritis in his back hips and whilst it is early days it appreas to help him. Jack is not as stiff in the mornings now he is on these capsules. We would recommend however whoever gets to adopt this beautiful boy they seek their own veterinary advice around longer term options - he may benefit from injections.
We have found Jack a happy go lucky fellow. We do know from his history that he has been quite the escape artist in the past but he has made zero attempt to get out of his foster placement.
Jack is currently in foster care with our staffy girl Matilda and they get a long really well but Jack does tire of her constant attempts to get him to play.
The home Jack is looking for is;
- Inside / outside access - he loves being inside.
- Company of another senior dog or one that is not going to jump all over him all the time.
- Secure fencing. Jack is currently easily contained in colour bond fencing.
- Someone home a bit or happy for Jack to hang out with them. He loves a drive in the car.
- Someone prepared to invest in his health knowing that he has arthritis in his back hips and very worn down teeth.
- No young children in the home permantly - Jack prefers the quieter life.
- Jack has not been around cats whilst in our care so we do not know if he is cat friendly so best in a home that is cat free.
If you fit the criteria for Jack please email us at phoenixarh@outlook.com and tell us how you meet the above criteria.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
