About Spongecake
Hi, my name is Spongecake. I am a 6 year old snuggly bulldog. I'm small for my breed and more like a Frenchie size.
I'm a quiet, very chilled and an easy going dog. I'm not a huge fan of being outside and prefer to be snuggled up in my bed or having cuddles. I have some allergies to grass so don't love going to the park as it gives me the itches but I'm happy having short street walks.
I am pretty indifferent to other dogs, I can take them or leave them, but I love humans. I'm a total people pleaser! My super power is snoring while both awake and asleep!
My ideal situation would be spending my days with humans, ideally if they work from home, or if I can come to the office (I'd make a great office dog). That said, I am okay being left on my own for a few hours at a time.
My favourite things are pats and cuddles. My foster parents shower me with attention and I really love it.
My foster dad says that I'm the best girl ever! (But I've been told I can't tell my doggie housemates that)
MY IDEAL HOME: I'd love a house where I am the shining star so I can get all the pats. However, I am okay with other dogs as long as they are super chill like me. I am still learning about the good life and so I do need a patient family who understand I might have the occasional accident inside. I'd prefer a quiet home as I get a bit frightened of loud noises or raised voices.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a couch potato! I don't mind a little stroll but don't expect me to be running any marathons.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I do like kids and would be okay with children.
Did I mentioned that I love snuggles so I'd be a good best friend.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I currently live with two large labradoodles without issues, I am generally indifferent to other dogs and prefer human attention. I have not met any cats whilst in care.
Medical notes
Some allergies to grass.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
