Cherry Ripe

Hi there, my names Cherry, short for Cherry Ripe (because I used to have a cherry eye). So before you take me home today there's a few things you need to know about me. Incase you didn't notice, I'm a Dachshund. Yes that's right! I'm a bit special. I may have short legs and a long body, but my personality is even longer than my body, it's huge in fact! I do have some very special needs. First of all, I LOVE HUMANS. Yes, I will want to be around you all the time. I'm needy and sometimes whiney, especially at night or when you leave me alone. But my foster parents have crate trained me to sleep in a room with my foster brothers and sister, and I now go to bed without a complaint at night (most of the time). My toilet training is going pretty good. I respond well to "wees and poos" and a shake of the treat jar and I'll pretty much go to the toilet for you quite quickly (also most of the time, with some patience). One thing though is I don't like to be alone. I'm really not a 1 dog kinda family, I need a friend. Also a Dachshund thing so you should already know that!

I love to play with my foster brothers, we go nuts, do zoomies and love a good tug of war. Also, to make me sleep much better at night, now that it's winter, I like to sleep under a blanket of some sort, because I do get cold very easy and jackets my size are hard to find! So if you could give me a nice warm mink blanket of some sort, I will be much happier. I do like to chase balls and also play with other toys. I'm also great with cats.
