About Beyblade
Beyblade is your typical cheeky, adventurous husky puppy who just so happens to have a traumatic brain injury. How this came to be, we can't be sure however what we do know is that it certainly does not stop this incredible girl from living her life to the fullest.
Bey, is blind in one eye and can be unsteady on her feet, she falls over sometimes but she gets back up and keeps going, a true testament to the resilience of dogs. Beyblade love to play, doesn't mind a snuggle, is obsessed with snacks and gets up to mischief just like any other puppy her age. She gets on well with her foster siblings (both big and small) and will wrestle and run around the yard with them. She isn't shy to tell them how she feels particularly if she is on her kitchen guard duties!
Beyblade is not likely to get worse but she her condition is what it is and as a result, she may take a little longer to learn things than your average dog but she has mastered sleeping in a pen through the night and how to run like the wind! She also very much knows the sound of the fridge and when dinner is on the way and will celebrate with classic husky screaming (if you know, you know)!
MY IDEAL HOME: Bey is looking for a home with humans around more often than not, as she can fall and can be unsteady on her feet, she is not suitable to be left for long periods or in a home with lots of stairs. Whilst she may have some special needs, she is otherwise very much a husky wand has all the traits of the breed so arctic breed experience is preferred but not essential.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Bey has moments of pure energy where she can run and tear up her toys and just be an absolute wild child but just as quickly can sleep for a solid few hours. She is practicing her leash skills but it's not something she has not quite got the hang out it just yet.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Bey is friendly with all humans big and small but is likely best in a home without small children because she is vulnerable to be knocked over.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Bey gets on well with other dogs however she is best with calm dogs that won't knock her over or take offence when she might stumble and fall of them. Other dogs can find her a little bit hard to understand so if she is to live with another dog, it's best they are pretty confident and calm.
Medical notes
Beyblade has had an MRI and neurological consult, she was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. There is no treatment for her condition but caution needs to be taken to make sure she stays safe.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
