About Narla
Hi! I'm Narla and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR Narla
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/y2Q5A6UCnu8uHGbu6
NOTE: You are unable to meet Narla until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Narla in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I enjoy the company of other dogs however a submissive dog is the best housemate for me as I can be a bit bossy. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself.
• I have a high prey drive so I can't go to a home that already has cats, rabbits/guinea pigs or livestock/chickens/ducks as I will chase them.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock
My best features:
• Beautiful busy bee
• Super sweet & people orientated
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit & shake hands
• Responsive to my name
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I LOVE toys
• Exuberant & full of beans
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will benefit from further basic training so that I am the best mannered girl that I can be
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats and a family that will include me in as many daily activities as possible should help this
