About Bruno
Bruno is a bubbly and delightful character whose happiness is contagious. This boy is all about the fun and living life to the fullest. One of his favourite things is his ball and he loves a good game of fetch. Bruno is always happy to see you and he loves it when you give him praise. In the evenings when he’s finished having his fun, he loves nothing more than to snuggle with you on the couch, often resting his head on your leg which is very heart warming. Bruno has a sweet and loving personality, and he will take all the pats and cuddles you want to give him.
While in foster care, Bruno has been living with three other dogs and he enjoys their companionship. He likes playing with the playful one and curling up in the bed with one of the quieter ones. Bruno is social with other dogs and excited to meet others out and about. He will need a home with another friendly dog to keep him company when you go out. Bruno is quite an active boy and will be a great fit for a family who want to take him out on lots of adventures and activities. He will need a good walk each day (around 1hr or so – all at once or broken into two outings) as well as game of fetch to keep him happy which makes him a great fit for a multi-person household where more than one person wants to have fun with the dog.
Bruno has demonstrated to his foster carers just how smart he is. He is already trained with the basics such as sit, stay and he is happy to sleep in his crate overnight. At home he has good manners around food, never begging for yours and sitting and waiting until told to eat his. Bruno travels ok in the car and is toilet trained and able to use a dog door confidently. He walks well on the lead and sits and waits at each road for it to be safe to cross. If he sees a doggy friend, he pulls a little in excitement but responds well to some treats to settle again. There really isn’t anything that Bruno doesn’t like, and he is a real pleasure to have around.
We are looking for a dog savvy home for Bruno where he will be a loved member of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. He must have a home with another dog for companionship and he will need his owners to be around more often than not. Initially he will bark a little when left before settling but this is improving over time and helped by having a doggy friend around. Due to this, he is not suitable for apartment/high density living and really, he would love a yard anyway to chase his ball in. Bruno will need to be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night.
Bruno is a larger small dog who weighs just 11kg. He is apparently a beagle x poodle which is why he has that cute scruffy coat but he does not require professional grooming – just a good bath and regular brush. Bruno is currently also living with a cat who he wan’t sure of at first, but they have learnt to live harmoniously so he would be fine to live with a dog savvy feline friend. He is also fine to live with children as long as they are confident with a little bit of jumping up when he is excited. Bruno must have a family who are going to meet his activity needs, who will enjoy having lots of fun with him, and give him lots of cuddles and attention.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
