About Jerry - 10 Year Old Maltese X (Hold)
Weighing in at a tiny 4kg, Jerry is willing to bet a fiver he will win your heart in under 5 minutes.
Jerry is a cheeky and loveable little dog, low energy, who will be a great companion.
Jerry is a friendly boy and oves a cuddle and will shadow you around the house. He is not a fan of toys or balls. His favourite thing to do is sleep, eat and repeat.
While in care, he has been toilet trained. It is still a work in progress with the doggie door. He is a bit timid of loud noises, so a doggie door with a soft flap, rather than Perspex is going to have the most success. He currently takes himself outside if the door is left open.
He has been sleeping on his foster carer bed with his foster siblings and sleeps through the night. He has also slept in a crate.
He is not a barker and doesn't join in when the naughty foster siblings set off with noises outside or someone is at the door.
Because of his past, Jerry would be best suited in a quiet home, where there are minimal raised voices and loud noises.
Jerry is dog friendly. He does resource guard his food. He has had major dental work and as such, he takes longer to eat, so guards his meal from preying eyes. If he has a dog sibling, meal supervision would be needed.
He is the perfect dog for someone wanting an easy going dog for companionship. Jerry would be happy being an only dog and the centre of your world, or with another small dog.
Being a bit older, Jerry can grumble a little if disturbed while sleeping, so best suited in a house with no young children.

Jerry is in foster care in Medowie NSW and is available for adoption within NSW. His adoption fee is $400, and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
