About Elmo
***** To apply for little Elmo, or any of his siblings, please visit www.animalrescue.org.au to complete the adoption enquiry form ****
Meet Elmo, he's the sweetest little dog you'll ever set your eyes on! Known as the baby of the family due to his smaller size, Elmo is as sweet as they come. He's used to being handled, making him a fantastic family pet, especially for those with children.
This squishy boy hails from a litter of composed and gentle puppies, all of whom are known for their friendly temperaments. With his siblings Cookie Monster, Miss Piggy, and Fozzy Bear, Elmo has learned to be a friendly, socially confident dog.
Elmo is currently in foster care with children, other dogs, and cats. This means he's getting very well socialised with other animals, building a great foundation for living comfortably in a familial environment. Going forward, Elmo will need access to the inside of his new home and should definitely sleep inside for his comfort and happiness.
Our little Elmo is a student of life - he's learning basic obedience and is currently working on his toilet training. And don't worry; despite his small size now, he'll grow up to be a medium-sized dog with a low to medium energy level.
This cute pup's health is paramount, so he's had his first vaccination and will get his second one shortly. He'll be due to be desexed at 6 months of age, but this is all included in his adoption fee if using our approved vet.
We recommend a fenced yard for Elmo to stay safe while exploring his surroundings and attending puppy pre-school is highly recommended to help him grow into a well-behaved adult dog.
The Shar-Peis are a breed known for their unique allure, creased skin, and calm demeanour. They may have certain needs compared to other breeds, so some research on the breed would be beneficial.
In a nutshell, Elmo is the perfect companion for a family ready to give him lots of love and get multiple licks and cuddles in return. All he needs now is to find the perfect family who will treasure this diamond in the rough!
