Grapefruit (the Giant)! 🍊

Just LOOK at the size of this guy's head!
Look at the size of all of him!
Grapefruit tipped the scales at 7kg but we assure you it's all muscle.

This boy is incredibly handsome and he knows it for sure.

Grapefruit may look like a gladiator prepping for battle but at his core he's a soft and sensitive soul - though his name is appropriate, as sometimes he's a bit of a sourpuss! 😉

Big G is looking for a cat-savvy family, or someone willing to learn the secret lore of the feline. 🛡️

He has been a wild tiger, strutting his stuff and ruling his realm for most or all of his life and this business of being 'domesticated' really did not appeal to Grapefruit at first.
However, he has become remarkably fond of the regular meals and the warm dry blanket and he has accepted (begrudgingly, perhaps) that with all of this comes the need to be patted and loved and asked repeatedly "who's the most handsome boy then!?" while his massive cheeks are gently squeezed. 🤗

In all seriousness, Grapefruit has made astounding progress in a short time.
Just a few weeks ago, the ranger who trapped him was genuinely afraid to get near him even in the trap.
G was pretty aggressive and threatening.
They say that cats have a whole lot of muscles in their ears and this guy can use them all to his fullest advantage - as soon as he's upset, the ears rotate to aeroplane position and he looks MAD.
He very quickly progressed from "untouchable, throw the food in his general direction and run" to "okay I can gently pat you while you're chewing" to "hey, you're enjoying this aren't you!?"

He is such a funny, sweet, one-of-a-kind kitty.

He's going to go backwards a bit when he joins a new home.
He will continue to be a work in progress, probably for a long time.
I can't honestly tell you exactly who he will be at any stage along his journey.
But I know he will be wonderful and entertaining and sometimes smoochy and sometimes cranky and always just adorable in the way that a huge 7kg ginger kitty can be.
