Pretty little lady Claire is a 7 month old sweetheart who will be happiest in a home with another playful and friendly cat - ideally one who can take her under their wing and help her be her best!

Claire has been in our care since way back in February (remember when it was 40 degrees and we were all melting?!)
She was caught on an isolated rural property with her large family, 11 kitties altogether of various ages.
All of her relatives have found homes now so she's the very last one remaining.

Claire is a petite and pretty kitty who prefers her beauty be appreciated and admired from afar.
Being born outside and having to fend for yourself is a scary start in life and Claire learned early that to be safe she had to steer clear of people.
After months of kindness and care with SAFE, she's aware that people aren't out to get her but she's not been able to overcome her challenging beginning.

Claire will become braver and more social over time, but she's currently very shy and skittish. She is happy in the company of other cats (we have suitable friends here she can be adopted with or you can welcome her in as a friend for an existing cat).
She's never likely to be a cuddly cat or a lap cat.
It's a very rewarding experience to gain the trust and friendship of a cat like Claire, even if it's not the traditional relationship people may have had with other cats.
We hope that someone out there will welcome her with open arms (even if she doesn't express her gratitude for a while!)
