We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Rio sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your own adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!

This playful boy is always on the go, whether he’s chasing hanging toys, exploring the yard, or making new friends. Rio’s zest for life is matched only by his affection for those around him.
Rio’s favourite things? He loves mealtime, especially when chicken or beef-flavoured treats are involved. Playtime is a close second, and he can spend hours with his beloved hanging toys or running around outside. His adventurous side makes every day an exciting new opportunity.
This little guy shows his affection in the sweetest ways. Initially shy, Rio quickly warms up, offering a sniff and a rollover to show his belly. He loves to follow you around the house, gently tapping your shoes with his paw for attention and comfort. His presence is a constant source of joy and companionship.
Rio would thrive in an active and loving home, with plenty of space to explore both indoors and out. He gets along wonderfully with dogs and will adapt well to any household ready for his playful and loving nature. Rio is ready to be your new best friend.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Home2Home currently operates a pay-what-you-can system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose the adoption fee amount that is most suitable for their situation
Following adoption - change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on listing) will be provided.
