About Mr Oz
Mr Oz came to us from a home that had up to 60 cats at any given time. He was kept in a cage for years so his behaviour was very anxious at first.
Mr Oz was not used to the sounds of washers and dryers, vacuums, or even microwaves. At first, he spent a lot of his days pacing in an effort to self-sooth.
In not long, he was approaching his carer for pats, but was still scared at the sight of humans standing and preferred to approach people once they were sitting down on the floor.
It has taken a year to rehabilitate this boy, but he now copes well with many noises, other pets and people, but the one habit he has not entirely shaken is his "swearing" (hissing). It is not a constant, but we think it is now habit after doing it constantly for years. It is entirely a farce though, since once he is offered pats, he cannot resist! He especially loves to arch his lower back up while he gets a scratch.
Medical notes
Mr Oz has food sensitivity to chicken. We recommend limiting his consumption of chicken to ensure his stools remain firm.
