About Tammy
Meet Tammy, a beautiful 5-year and 6-month-old Blue Heeler with a heart as big as her personality. Tammy is a super loving and sweet girl, known for her affectionate nature and gentle demeanor. She's looking for a forever home where she can share her love and bring joy to her new family.
Tammy has a playful spirit and loves to explore, making her an excellent companion for outdoor adventures. She needs to shed a few kilos, so regular exercise and exploring new places will be perfect for her. Whether it's hiking trails, playing in the park, or just a stroll around the neighborhood, Tammy is ready to be by your side.
Tammy gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are respectful and friendly. She enjoys the company of her canine friends and thrives in a social environment. However, she would do best in a home without cats, as she prefers a feline-free space.
Despite never having been inside, Tammy is eager to experience the comforts of indoor life. She dreams of being able to hang out with her humans inside, especially during family game nights or cozy evenings on the couch. With her excellent manners and calm demeanor, Tammy is sure to adapt quickly to indoor living and become a beloved member of the household.
Tammy walks wonderfully on a lead and is well-behaved during outings. Her polite manners make her a joy to take on walks, and she's always ready for the next adventure. Tammy's ideal home would include older teenage kids who can match her energy and enthusiasm, providing her with the love and companionship she craves.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion, Tammy is the perfect fit. She's ready to bring endless love, joy, and adventures into your life. Give Tammy the chance to be part of your family, and you'll gain a devoted friend for life.
To book a meet and greet with Tammy please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
