About Caesar
Hello there! I'm Caesar, a 9-and-a-half-year-old Kelpie with a stunning chocolate and tan coat that turns heads wherever I go. Though my muzzle has grown a bit gray with the years, it only adds to my charm and wisdom. I've experienced a lot in my time and learned to cherish the simple pleasures in life.
I'm crate trained, which means I find a great deal of comfort in my cozy crate when I need a bit of quiet time. It's like my own little sanctuary. Of course, I'm house-trained too, so you won't have to worry about any accidents indoors. I'm a well-behaved gentleman, after all!
I have a special fondness for kids who are 6 years and older. Their energy and playfulness bring out the puppy in me. I once lived with a cat, and we got along just fine, coexisting peacefully. I also enjoy the company of other dogs and always look forward to making new friends during our walks or visits to the park.
One of my absolute favorite things in the world is a good cuddle session. There's nothing quite like curling up next to someone and soaking in the affection. I also have a soft spot for playing outside with my ball. Whether it's a game of fetch or just chasing it around the yard, I'm always up for some fun in the sun.
Consider me an old soul, filled with years of wisdom and a heart brimming with love. I may not be a young pup anymore, but I still have so much love and joy to give. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who's great with kids and other pets, look no further. I'm here, ready to bring some warmth, cuddles, and happiness into your life. Let's create some beautiful memories together!
To book a meet and greet with Caesar please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
