About Kandos
Kandos is an energetic and confident working breed mix puppy who made his way to our shelter all the way from Dubbo. Named after a suburb our team passed through on the way back, Kandos arrived as part of a litter of six. At just 4-5 weeks old, Kandos and his siblings were tiny but incredibly resilient, quickly finding refuge in the care of our dedicated foster team.
Kandos has flourished in his foster home with one of our shelter handlers, growing up alongside a bubbly Cavalier foster dog brother. This has helped him develop a confident and social demeanour. With proper introductions, Kandos could live harmoniously with another dog. He is playful and enthusiastic, particularly enjoying wrestling and chasing games with other dogs, once he's familiar with them.
Kandos is a confident puppy, unafraid to explore and interact with his surroundings. He is great with handling and enjoys cuddles, showing a sweet and affectionate side.
Kandos has already made progress in his training but will need ongoing support to develop into a well-behaved adult dog. He has learned to sit and enjoys backyard time, but requires further training on a lead. Ongoing puppy preschool is a must to continue his socialisation and training.
Kandos is best suited for an active family, who enjoy outdoor activities and currently have a spacious backyard for play. Owners who can match his high energy levels and provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation will keep this pup both physically and mentally enriched.
He is versatile in his compatibility, having done well around young kids in his foster home, where he was cuddly and well-mannered. He is suitable for all experience levels, as long as his family understands typical puppy antics like chewing and digging.
If you are looking for a spirited and loving puppy to join your family, Kandos might be the perfect fit. With the right environment and continued training, Kandos will grow into a loyal and joyful companion. Reach out to us to learn more about adopting Kandos and give him the forever home he deserves.
